“While in Funchal, make sure to take the cable ride up to Monte and experience these wonderful gardens. Floral and fauna from around the world, exquisite landscaping, some local history displayed with tile art, and views you'll remember for a lifetime. A must experience if you're in Funchal. Plan for a couple of hours easily while up top in Monte. It's a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend!”

“A Must-Visit in Funchal!
The Funchal Jardim Monte Palace is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking landscapes and a rich variety of plants. It's a perfect spot for nature lovers and anyone looking to enjoy serene, picturesque views. I highly recommend setting aside a couple of hours to fully explore and appreciate the beauty of this garden.”

“It's the best place in Funchal.
The garden is beautiful and takes several hours to explore. There are small cafés within the garden where you can take a break or have a meal while enjoying magnificent views of the city. It's also cooler, and the garden has plenty of shaded areas.
During our visit, there was also live entertainment with local singers and musicians in the center of the park, which was very enjoyable.
The garden is open on public holidays.”

“For sure, this is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever visited. You need really plenty of time to walk through it and enjoy every corner. Come early as much as possible. It has some really rare plants and trees and the atmosphere is absolutely amazing.”
Oleksandr Telesniuk
“I have just one word for this: STUNNING. What a gem!
I can’t find a single downside to mention. Allow around 3 hours to see “everything.” Wear comfortable shoes as there are plenty of cobblestones and the path goes up and down.
Around midday, there was a musical performance by the large pond. Very serene and perfectly fitting for the setting.
There are plenty of restrooms available.”
